Science & Technology Research Innovation & Vision Enterprises Mission Statement:

The mission of S.T.R.I.V.E. is to inspire and motivate students in 6th grade through college, to pursue studies and careers in Science, Math and Technology, through the sharing of the science, math, engineering and technology that is connected with and supports the North American Eagle™ Land Speed Record Challenger Project.

Objective: Using classroom or school presentations and activities, the staff of S.T.R.I.V.E. shall present the array of scientific innovations and applications which are an integral part of the NAE™ land speed vehicle in its project goal to break the existing world land speed record currently at the speed of sound. The history of LSR, the challenge of achieving blistering speeds while using technology to keep the car and driver safe, the physics behind it, coupled with mini-activities, motivational challenges to students and captivating videos of testing being conducted, are all part of the inspiring presentation which introduces students to the exciting world the study of science and engineering offers. Our ongoing outreach program shares with our future problem solvers what it takes to tackle engineering problems, seemingly insurmountable odds, and how we've overcome them by "thinking outside the box". We believe that if students have positive roll models through which they can believe in their own capabilities to tackle smaller problems, then we are helping to better our nation's future and encourage them into pursuing studies and careers in STEM disciplines.

Fees:

• Our basic charge is $.75/mile for any mileage incurred.
• Any locations of a distance requiring overnight stay expenses will be covered by the host requesting the presentation.
